Was wondering if anyone remembers in about late 1967, A 137th motor crane left LZ Thunder after mine sweep on QL 1 and hit a mine about 1/4 mile from D Company south. I saw the fire ball and explosion and was the first one on site with Lt Rigby and Doc Cisneros, both men were wondering around in the rice paddy in shock the white man had his eardrums busted and his teeth knocked out, the black man was mostly OK except for ears and shock. Was wondering if anyone remembers who these men were. Thanks

I was a crane operator with the 19th. I remember this incident. I think I was the guy that ran the crane to load the track on a lowboy to haul it back. I have a photo or two I believe. I was there form Jan 68-69.

I was with a cavalry unit and our two tracks accompanied the engineers as they swept Highway 1 from LZ Max North to Mo Duc and South to Duc Pho. We were with you guys during 1968. I DEROSED in November of 1968. The day I was to head back to LZ Bronco my track hit a huge mine. My driver was KHA and the other guys were WHA. Is there anyone that remembers us ??

Hello all, it is with great sadness that I received a Christmas card from Helen Love informing us that they lost Rick to cancer on January 11, 2018. Rick was one of my best friends in Vietnam in S-3 and we continued our friendship after Vietnam. He and Helen have a wonderfull family and everyone will miss him. He was a great Guyana!

KELVIN DAVIS,
Get in touch with me about your visit to East Coast USA. I was a medic with 19th Engineers up to Feb. '68. There is a JFK Memorial Park on the bay near where I live in Ocean City, New Jersey, about 130 miles south of New York City.
